Solidarity
by Oliver Scofield
Exploded
our million piece
hearts form ash
as snowflakes that swell
angry seas.
Today we will rage
against shores
of injustice then
our tide ebbs
compassion gently
recedes. Warm
waves now unconcerned
and cold turn
back. This heartbreak snow
stops until
the next explosion.
