Accessibility
Tenderness Lit aims to make long-form reading calm, legible, navigable, and compatible with assistive technology.
Standards and approach
We work toward WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Accessibility is treated as ongoing editorial and technical practice, not a one-time certification.
Reading controls
Article pages provide three persisted font-size states. Text can also be enlarged with browser zoom. Layouts reflow on narrow screens without requiring horizontal reading.
Keyboard and structure
A skip link leads to the main content. Navigation, forms, filters, save controls, consent, and installation controls are keyboard operable. Pages use landmarks, one primary heading, ordered heading levels, labels, and visible focus behavior.
Images and motion
Editorial images include concise alternative text. Information is not communicated by color alone. The design includes no essential animation or autoplaying media.
Offline and assistive technology
The PWA uses ordinary semantic HTML and remains a website; installation is optional. Service-worker caching may vary by browser and should not prevent screen readers or keyboard access.
Submission accommodations
If a required file format or workflow creates a barrier, email [email protected] to request a reasonable alternative. Plain-text correspondence is welcome.
